Fancy Discord name fonts for your display name or nickname, plus a valid username. Tap a style to copy it.
Type your name once and this Discord name converter shows it in 24 styles at the same time: bold, italic, cursive, gothic, double-struck, monospace, small caps, bubble and black bubble letters, squares, wide text, upside down, strikethrough, underline and a few frames such as ꧁wings꧂. Tap a style and it is copied, ready to paste into the display name field of your Discord profile or into a server nickname. The dark chat line above the list shows the style you tapped next to an avatar, so you can see how a fancy Discord name reads in a conversation before you change anything. Digits, punctuation, emoji and accented letters stay where they are, and a name you paste in an old style converts again instead of stacking one style on another.
Since 2023 Discord accounts have a unique username beside the display name, and the username is strict. Discord's support page lists the rules: 2 to 32 characters, lowercase letters a-z, digits, the underscore and the period, and never two periods in a row. The first row of the list is a Discord username converter that applies them to whatever you typed. Fancy letters go back to plain ones, accents are removed, Cyrillic is spelled in Latin letters, capitals become lowercase and emoji and symbols are dropped. Spaces become underscores, periods or nothing, whichever the Spaces switch shows. An old Name#1234 tag loses its number, a long name is cut to 32 characters and a single letter gets an underscore. Discord's developer documentation also rules out the word discord and the names everyone and here, so the converter takes those out too. The line under the username says exactly what was changed. Whether the username is still free only Discord can tell you, when you try it.
Display names and server nicknames can be 1 to 32 characters long. Discord does not say how it counts them, and fancy text is where that matters. A bold or cursive letter looks like one character, but computers store it as two code units, and strikethrough adds a mark to every letter. When a style is over 32 however you count, its row says Too long. When it fits one way of counting and not the other, the row says May be too long. If Discord turns such a name down, small caps, bubble letters and wide text take one unit per letter and fit the most.
These styles are not a font. They are ordinary Unicode characters, so a name looks the same in Discord on a phone, in the browser and in the desktop app, as long as the device has a font for them. Bold, italic, cursive and gothic letters show on almost every phone and computer made in the last ten years. A few symbols, like the ꧁ ꧂ wings and some upside-down letters, can appear as empty boxes on older systems. If you are setting up a whole new look, Discord PFP Cropper places a photo in Discord's avatar circle, and Discord PFP Viewer shows any profile picture full size.
The name you type never leaves your browser: every style and the username are worked out on your device, and nothing is sent to a server or to Discord. The last name you typed is kept in this browser only, so the list is ready next time you open the page. The cross in the name box clears it and forgets it.
Yes. Discord's support page says display names can use special characters, emoji and non-Latin letters, and server nicknames follow the same 1 to 32 character limit. Its developer documentation adds that some zero-width and non-rendering characters are limited, and strikethrough and underline are built from combining marks laid over each letter, so try those two in the name field before you rely on them.
No. A Discord username takes only lowercase a-z, the digits 0-9, the underscore and the period. Fancy letters, spaces, emoji and capitals belong in the display name. The Username row turns any name into one that follows the rules and says what it changed.
Discord's new usernames do not use the four-digit tag any more. Paste an old Name#1234 and the converter drops the tag and makes a username from the name.
Their phone or computer has no font that contains that character. Bold, italic, cursive and gothic letters are the safest choice because nearly every system can show them, while rarer symbols may still be missing on older devices.
No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. The name is remembered in this browser only, and the cross in the name box clears it.
