See Any Discord Banner Full Size
Discord shows a profile banner as a strip across the top of a profile card, cropped and small, with no way to open or save it. This Discord banner viewer gets you the whole picture: paste a user ID, press View, and the profile banner appears at full width with the name and avatar of the account it belongs to, so you know you have the right person. It works for any account, a friend, someone in a server or your own, with no login and no Discord connection on your side.
A Discord Banner Downloader With True File Names
Download saves the banner exactly as Discord keeps it, straight from Discord's own image servers: the original upload size, never upscaled and never a screenshot. The file name says what you got, like alex-banner-680x240.png, read from the file itself rather than from the size that was asked for. Animated banners stay animated: they download as a GIF by default, or as an animated WebP when you pick WebP under Format, which keeps the full colours a GIF cannot hold. The open button shows the full-size file in a new tab if you would rather look than save. For the profile picture itself, the Discord PFP Viewer does the same for avatars.
No Banner? The Profile Colour and Its Hex
Many accounts never upload a banner. Discord then paints the top of the profile in a single colour, the accent color the user picked, and that is what this viewer shows in its place, with the hex code next to it. Click the code to copy it, ready for a matching theme, a role colour or a design. Download turns the colour into a 680 × 240 picture, the size Discord asks banner uploads to be. If an account has neither a banner nor a colour, the viewer says so instead of showing an empty frame.
Server Banners From an Invite Link
Switch to Server banner and paste any invite link, like discord.gg/xyz. The server's banner shows full size with its icon and member count, and downloads the same way, PNG for a still banner and GIF or WebP for an animated one. Only servers with enough boosts can set a banner, so many small servers simply have none. To make a banner of your own in the right shape, the Discord Banner Resizer crops and sizes a picture for upload.
Frequently Asked Questions About Discord Banners
How do I see someone's Discord banner?
Copy their user ID in Discord: turn on Developer Mode under Settings → Advanced, right-click the user (or long-press on a phone) and choose Copy User ID. Paste it here and press View. The banner shows full size with a download button.
Can I download an animated Discord banner?
Yes. An animated banner downloads as a GIF that keeps every frame, or as an animated WebP if you choose WebP under Format. A still banner downloads as a PNG, the format Discord serves without any loss.
What size is a Discord profile banner?
Discord recommends uploading at least 680 × 240, about 17:6, and server banners are usually 16:9. The viewer always gets the largest copy Discord keeps, so the download is the original upload, and its file name carries its real width and height.
Why does a user have no banner?
Uploading a profile banner needs Discord Nitro, so most accounts show their profile colour instead. The viewer shows that colour with its hex code, and says so when the account has no colour either.
Is viewing a Discord banner anonymous?
Yes. Banners are public pictures that Discord serves openly from its image servers, the same ones anyone sees on the profile. The person is not notified, and you never log in or connect your Discord account.
